This webpage is the "unofficial site" for
the Black & White Reunion. January 26th of this year marked the 10th anniversary of the death of
Jonny Gammage and the Coordinating Council of the Black and White Reunion. The
Black and White Reunion has sponsored seven annual Summits Against Racism, given away yearly Jonny Gammage Scholarships to
students of Law, made possible the Mural Bridge Project, worked with groups across the city, and has served as a model for
an interracial group working together to overcome racism.
This year’s Summit focused on three
important areas in the struggle to combat systemic racism and police misconduct and their disproportionate impact on the communities
of color in Greater Pittsburgh:
- Police
Brutality & Racial Profiling
- Community-Police Relations
- Advocating For Youth
Although the Summit has passed, the work of the Black & White Reunion goes on. This page will be dedicated to the
above-mentioned three areas of concern and the mission that the Black & White Reunion is committed to carrying out and
the vision it is dedicated to carrying on.
