    • Work is being used in colleges and universities across the U.S. and World (including Harvard, Princeton, Rutgers, Penn State, Old Dominion, and the Sorbonne)
    • Essays and articles has appeared and my work has been cited in the nation’s leading newspapers, journals and textbooks (including the New York Times, New York Daily News, The Black Commentator, The Black Agenda Report, Issues in Higher Education, McGraw Hill's Race & Ethnic Relations)

    • Former Director of Race Relations & Advocacy for the YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh

    Lisa Rhymes
    Curriculum Specialist, Director of Administration
    • Has over 21 years in education and curriculum development (Pre-K thru Adult)
    • Expertise in immigrant acculturation and ESL/ESOL
    • Has received teacher certification in Minnesota and Massachusetts
    • Has worked, outstandingly, as an Elementary Education teacher in Minnesota and Massachusetts; and more specifically with inner-city student populations and students of color 
    • Has also taught junior & senior high students
    • Has served as Director of Education in a faith-based organization with supervision of over 120 workers and volunteers and 600 youth
    • Considered a cultural proficiency pioneer in the field of ABE/ESOL in Massachusetts
    • Has designed and developed tools used by faith-based organizations to work in different countries and with various cultures
    • As DTS Counselor with YWAM (Youth With A Mission), served a student population from over 35 countries
    • As an ABE/ESOL educator, served a student population from over 40 countries
    • Created, developed and piloted the Black & Women’s History curriculum for the Adult Basic Education Program in New Bedford, Massachusetts
    • Worked in Japan teaching English to Japanese students and adult learners
